Yes, she's running around by herself still attached to her lease. We feel a little better letting her play by herself if we leave her leash on - that way if a big dog comes by or she starts to run in a different direction we can catch her before she gets too far :)
We like to show off our tricks for nice people at the park, too. Ashby's such a fluffy little butterball people just love to watch her perform! We must brag on her just a little: She's soo smart already! She knows how to sit, shake, touch, fetch and we're working on lay down. She tends to get a little distracted with lay down and think we're trying to play.
Going down the stairs has been a new development. She has been too little to figure out how to go about the process, but by the first of this week, she's figured it out, and has done it well. Today, however, she got going a little too fast and managed to slide down about three steps. When she got up she was limping and refused to walk, so naturally, it scared us a little, but we quickly realized she was just scared when she started running and biting at our pant leg (another favorite "trick").
All in all going to be park is the highlight of Ashby Dog's day. She loves to eat grass and play with puppies her size! I'm going to try to figure out how to make a tab on the top of our page to keep updated pictures of her under. That way our posts don't start consisting of "Ashby's Adventures", but you can still watch her grow!
